Device intake and warranty conditions

1. General provisions

SIA «Sadzīves tehnikas remonts SATER» (reg. no. 40103109155, VAT: LV40103109155), located at Silmaču iela 6, Rīga, LV-1012, Latvija (the "Workshop" or "SATER"), provides electronics and home appliance repair services.

These Terms of Service govern the relationship between the Workshop and the customer (the "Customer") regarding repair services.

2. Device intake

The Customer brings the device to the Workshop during business hours (Mon–Sat, 9:00–16:00). No appointment is required — walk-ins are served in order of arrival.

When dropping off the device, the Customer describes the fault. The Workshop issues a receipt confirming intake of the device for repair.

3. Diagnostics

Fast on-site diagnostics

Device diagnostics are performed quickly on site at the service centre. Based on the result, the service centre tells the Customer the repair price before any work begins. If the Customer declines the repair, the device is returned with no obligation.

4. Repair authorisation

Repair begins only after the Customer’s verbal or written agreement to the proposed price.

If the price changes during the repair, the Workshop contacts the Customer to agree on the new amount. No work is performed without the Customer’s consent.

All services are provided in person at the Workshop. Since the contract is concluded on the Workshop’s premises and not at a distance, the 14-day withdrawal right (under Directive 2011/83/EU) does not apply.

5. Repair timeframes

Most repairs are completed within 1–3 business days. Complex repairs may take longer. The Workshop notifies the Customer when the device is ready.

6. Warranty

Repair warranty — 3 months

A 3-month warranty applies to all completed repair work.

Battery replacement warranty — 6 months

A 6-month warranty applies to battery replacements.

The warranty does not cover:

  • mechanical damage caused after the repair;
  • damage caused by water or moisture ingress;
  • unauthorised modifications to the device;
  • natural wear and tear of parts and components.

7. Payment

Payment is made when the repair is completed and the device is collected. Cash and bank transfer are accepted.

8. Liability

The Workshop ensures proper storage and careful handling of the Customer’s devices. The Workshop is not liable for:

  • data loss on the device;
  • pre-existing cosmetic defects;
  • faults unrelated to the work performed.

9. Unclaimed devices

Devices not collected within 3 months of the completion notice may be disposed of in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Latvia.

10. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. All disputes are resolved in the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
